The house was clean and cozy, it was a bit stuffy. Beautiful area around, large shops nearby - very convenient location

It's a very green area, the houses are in the forest.
Everything in the house is a bit dilapidated, but considering the location, price, availability of kitchen/bathroom - it's ok

Gesthus Selfoss was a good surprise! My cozy cabin was super tidy, complete with a kitchenette, made meal prep easy.
Slight sulfur smell from water.

Houses are surrounded with trees, so it feels like you're in the woods. The cottages have everything you need to stay overnight and cook dinner/breakfast. There are stables nearby, so you can come and see the horses

Convenient location and relatively low price for a house for three.
The house is cramped. The microwave was right above the bed.

This place was a great match for a swift stopover in Selfoss and good value for money. I appreciated the charming little cabin, especially the cozy kitchenette that let us whip up a quick meal. Bring your own food supplies as the nearby store is very convenient.

Having in mind the high prices in Iceland this guesthouse/camping was a real good choice. We booked a double room with private bathroom in one of their nice cottages, by a small pond. It had a small kitchen, quite suitable for making some dinner (especially if you take advantage of the long days to explore some "musts" as Geysir or Gullfoss in late evening.
The wifi is only available in the common building, not in the cottages, and it is closed at 23:00. Besides, I had some problems to connect my laptop.

The hotel let's you you the kitchen to cook yourself although you can also pay for breakfast or dinner.
It`s a bit expensive for this kind of hotel, although is normal in Iceland this prices. But I saw better hotels.

Breakfast included in the price of the room
The matress was too soft so not so good for my back. The room was tiny (no place to leave the luggage for ex). The whole room was old and needs renovation.

I stayed in one of their duplex cabins, sleeps up to 4. Nice setting, easy contact with management. Wi-fi in central meeting room. Manager recommanded to visit Vestmannaeyjar island where I got stuck due to ferry problems. I had to stay on the island, pay for logging. However, the Gesthus manager waived my lodging for that night, very nice! Location good for visiting Geysir and Gulfoos water falls. Also close to 2 coast towns. In one of them Eyrarbakki, at the west end is the Bakkabrim Harbor Caffee, where I had the best service and greatest coffee in Iceland.
Kitchen outfitting very oustere, no paper towels, no coffee machine.

Nice wooden houses, clean and well-maintained. Pleasant atmosphere and helpful staff.
A bit too far from the main street, must drive to dine out.
